Pink Ribbon Review BCAM Giveaway: Day Four
Welcome to day four of the Pink Ribbon Review Breast Cancer Awareness Month Giveaway! In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (NBCAM), I’m giving away a pink ribbon product every single day during the month of October.
Today’s giveaway: “Eat Your Peas for the Cure” gift book.
The “Eat Your Peas” series is a collection of paperback gift books authored by Cheryl Karpen that are built with a promise to be there for someone special through life’s trials and celebrations.
The very first gift book, “Eat Your Peas for Young Adults,” was written in 2001 for a teenage friend who was going through some challenging emotional times and felt sad and hopeless. The collection now features 21 affirming titles for moms, teens, sons, birthdays, teachers, gardeners and more, and offers coupling seed packets with affirmation cards, note pads and magnets.
Cheryl Karpen co-wrote “Eat Your Peas for the Cure” with her sister and three-time cancer survivor, Darlene Hauff. After seeing the amount of love and support Hauff received from family and friends, Karpen knew her sister would be able to help her find the tender and uplifting yet sensitive tone she wanted.

The pages of “Eat Your Peas for the Cure” are filled with words to encourage and support people suffering from cancer. Words like:
“As you travel down the treatment trail, I’ll be cheering you on all the way.”
“Everytime you pick up this book, consider yourself hugged. And cherished, too.”
“Very few burdens are heavy if we all lift together.”
And the pages are beautiful … the image on the left is of one of my favorite pages of this book.
Just after the title page is a To/From page for you to fill out if the winner chooses to give it away. If it is for them to cherish, I’ll fill it out for them with a pink ribbon pen!
FYI, a percentage of the profit from “Eat Your Peas for the Cure” will be contributed to the American Cancer Society.
What else do you need to know … the book is bounded in paperback. It features 72 pages and measures 5.5″ x 5.5″. The retail price is $9.95. And, it’s available online at www.gentlyspoken.com.
So … comment to win … and don’t forget to eat your peas.
Please refer to the the Pink Ribbon Review BCAM giveaway rules if you’ve not done this before.
You have until midnight EST to comment. Good luck!

I have never seen this either- what a beautiful gift this would make. Thanks for the the giveaway but most of all, thanks for putting breast cancer awareness out there- breast cancer sucks and we need to find a cure but until we do we need to make women aware of monthly exams and mammos…something that could save your life! Thanks again!

I was thinking this would be a nice book to keep passing along to people who need a pick me up. You could write a message of support in it and ask that the recipient pass it along to someone else who needs it when she has read it. Each time it was passed on there would be another note of support added to it.
