When a friend of the founder of Ann Veronica, Ann Perrino, was diagnosed with breast cancer, she was moved to action, like so many of us touched by this disease are. She immediately put her creativity to work and created the Bravery print.

I recently received a Bravery canvas handbag … it arrived beautifully packaged, beautifully wrapped and in mint condition (presentation is everything; these folks nailed that). I untied the pink ribbon branded with the AnnVeronica name and reached into a quality plastic bag to pull out the Bravery bag inside.

Because the bag is handmade, I was told I could expect imperfections and/or color variations … but I found none. The bag is perfect.

It has an inside pocket where my iPhone easily fits (though I’m not sure a thicker phone will fit in there easily; maybe after the canvas stretches a bit) and a key clip so I won’t be shuffling to find my keys every time I need to find them.

It came with a cautionary note that I might want to use a spray-on fabric protector. My strong advice if you get one of these bags is that you have fabric protector on hand because you’ll want to start using it right away. And I sure do wish it came with a little sample so I could have sprayed it on right away — I’m not one for delayed gratification.

The one I have is handbag size … and easily fits the stuff I carry around daily.

I love when quality products sport the pink ribbon … raising awareness while making people happy all at the same time. Win, win!
