Who won the OtterBox Strength Cases for the iPhone and iPod Nano?
As you know, a few days ago I hosted another Pink Product Giveaway — this time for either of the OtterBox Strength Cases (one for the iPhone and one for the iPod Nano).
This morning, I awoke, walked my dog, and was anxious to select the two winners from the 69 entries I received — randomly using random.org — and I haven’t even had my coffee yet.
Just a recap … there were two rules to the contest:
- Leave a comment on this post completing this sentence: “Strength is … ” Here’s an example: Strength is waking up the morning after your chemotherapy treatment and making your kid a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for their school lunch.
- Include which case you’re hoping for (obviously if you don’t have an iPhone or iPod Nano you’ll be disappointed later if that’s the one I select for you so let’s be clear from the get-go). It’s okay to say either one!
With that in mind, my first randomly selected winners were comment #42 and #47.
Comment #42 was Bes … who didn’t follow the rules and simply wrote ‘Strength comes from within.’ To clarify, didn’t specify which product she’d like to win, rule #2. I’m so sorry Bes … but I have to stick to my guns; I’d clearly said at the bottom of the post “Only qualifying entries will be considered”. You have to follow the rules to win.
Moving on … comment #47 was from Samantha Pruitt:
Strength is being able to see the light at the end of the tunnel, even through horrible situations. And i’d love the nano case, for my new nano, i’m afraid to take it anywhere, they’re so slippery! Thanks for the giveaway!
Samantha Pruitt has won herself the iPod Nano case.
So I head back over to random.org again to try again, and this time I pull up #63 and #12.
But wait, I thought nervously, I already have one winner, I don’t need two, what will I do? See what happens when I start blogging without caffeine? Nervously I checked #63 … Donna Kozar explained ‘Strength if my faith’ but didn’t follow the rules and give me her giveaway preference. I’m sorry Donna … that darn rule #2.
Moving on … comment #12 … from Kristen King:
Strength is getting out of bed every morning and doing what you have to do even though you don’t want to do anything at all. I would like the iPhone cover if I win.
Ain’t that the truth! Kristen has won herself the iPhone case.

Thanks so much Karen for the great giveaways! That’s why i always read the rules carefully, it may take time, but it sure does pay of in the end, i can’t wait to get my case. Sometimes my mom uses my ipod and she’ll really appreciate the fact that it supports breast cancer, since she is a survivor of one year, i’m so proud of her.
