Gadget Sites Doing Their Part to Raise Awareness
There’s a cool ‘gadget’ website that my husband reads all the time called Engadget. Well, today they reported a story on 3D mammography, a way to x-ray breasts three dimensionally to check for breast cancer, particular helpful for women with dense breasts. Here’s a screen shot of that page.

Speaking of being dense … the caliber of comments the post is receiving is unreal! I mean, I know that Engadget readers aren’t necessarily the target market for such a story, but you’d think human beings, even young geeky ones, would have a level of maturity when it comes to an issue so prevalent and painful for so many people.
If you want to follow the trail … Engadget got the tip from Slash Gear. Slash Gear got the tip from Gearlog. Gearlog picked up on something reported by CBS News.
Head over to Engadget, check out the comments, and let me know if you agree that Engadget should get kudos for doing their part to raise awareness, and the inappropriate commenters should get our disdain!
