David Cook to Perform in Support of Cancer Research
American Idol winner David Cook (love him) is going to perform at Taste for a Cure 2008, a fundraising event for UCLA’s Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Yes, that’s a comprehensive cancer center designated by the National Cancer Institute — with a breast cancer department worth considering if you’re in the area.
The event will take place on Saturday, June 21, 2008 at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills. One ticket is $500 — one ticket.
Cook’s brother is fighting brain cancer, so I’ll bet we hear more about David and the fight against cancer in the future. Wouldn’t I love to see him in a pink shirt …
