Prince Charles Gets Involved with Breakthrough Breast Cancer Research
The Prince of Wales, Prince Charles, or His Royal Highness The Prince Charles as he’s known in Scotland, is going to officially open a research unit on Thursday designed to improve and develop treatments for breast cancer.
Prince Charles will be given a guided tour of the newest facility for an organization called Breakthrough — the UK’s leading charity committed to fighting breast cancer through research, campaigning and education. Prince Charles is the organization’s patron and has offered ongoing support for their cause and helped them achieve national recognition for their work.
The Breakthrough Research Unit in Edinburgh is one of three new facilities (the other two are in King’s College London and Manchester).
